Work Plan/ Feedback Request

We agreed to form a working group/ steering committee to essentially guide the set-up of an organization for built environment professions. The steering committee was to comprise of:- • Adnan Ali • Rasheed Bari • Ismail Ibrahim • Fathimath Rasheed • Hassan Shameem • Ali Shareef • Hussain Shiyam • Ibrahim Shiyaz Ismail Ibrahim was tasked with co-ordinating the work of this steering committee. What we intended to do is to develop some notes through discussion and have these documents posted on the web for feedback. The steering group will then incorporate any feedback received together with information on organizational and functional frameworks used in similar international organizations and then compile them into a final document which will presented to the broader audience of professionals for comment, revision and refinement before adoption. We are now seeking feedback from everyone on the following notes through the blog and/or email (ismail.ubc@gmail.com). We will be putting a separate link for each of these and it is requested that suggestions/comments on each of the following be made under the respective thread. For discussion purposes, the steering committee intends to provide the following – 1. Guidance document for the set-up of the organization. • Purpose of the organization/ Vision • Objectives • Code of Conduct 2. Documents required for registration – including • Articles of Association/ Memorandum of Association o Membership o Organization structure o Financing o Administration and daily operational issues 3. As suggested at the preliminary meeting a list of pressing issues in the industry will also be developed 4. Key activities/Timeline
